About KerbSight

Independent traffic intelligence. Roadside observations, turned into a report a community can use.

KerbSight carries out traffic surveys and explains the results in plain language. The core service is the vehicle speed survey. The same approach covers traffic counts, pedestrian surveys and other observational work such as parking and access.

The people who commission the work are parish and town councils, schools, residents’ associations, community groups, local authorities, developers, planners and businesses. They usually want a document they can put in front of a committee, a highway authority or a neighbour who disagrees, without translating it first.

Who operates it

KerbSight is operated by CliqTo Ltd, 67 Burton Bank Lane, Stafford, England, ST16 2TB, United Kingdom. Enquiries go to kerbsight@cliqto.com.

The service is led by a serving parish councillor, so it is built with an understanding of how local concerns move through parish meetings, school conversations, residents’ groups and highway authority discussions.

That local-government experience is supported by practical traffic and public-data work, including Traffic Update, a public traffic reporting service, and Postcode Area. The operator is ex-Royal Navy, DBS checked and Level 3 first aid trained.

What KerbSight is not

KerbSight is not a police service, not a speed-enforcement contractor, and not a community speed watch scheme. It does not issue penalties and it does not claim to provide enforcement evidence. The work is observation and analysis. A customer receives a report of what was measured.

We do not invent case studies, client lists or approval from councils or the police. If a survey is listed publicly in future, it will be because it was actually carried out and the customer is content for it to be described.

How a survey is done

A trained surveyor visits the location and records observations to a standardised method. The report states the place, the time, the conditions and the method version. There is a short account on the methodology page.
